Long live Gallecia! Long Live Lusitania!

Welcome to the supporters' web site of the Gallaec People's Party (or Poxe ke Toudo Kallaike, in gallaec dialect or Kallaeg language), the regional party of Gallecia (Kallaikia) region, in northern of Portugal. This site will endeavour to provide news and information about the PTK's political and social campaigns as it fights for the creation of an official autonomous region in Gallecia and for the future of Gallecia and Gallaec people.

Since its formation in 2005 in Vimaris (Guimarães), the PTK has been fighting for change as a grassroots political vehicle of the people. As the first party to take up the statehood issue in Gallecia, the PTK laboured for many years, laying the ground work for what would emerge as a successful movement for all-around development for the long neglected northern regions of Portugal, the Minho and the Trás-os-Montes provinces, in fact the Gallecia region. However, enormous work remains, as the unfulfilled expectations of the Gallaec people call out for the continuation of a regional voice in the politics of the state dominated by portuguese national parties and their elitist national priorities.

We have long stressed that only through a new Gallecia can a new Portugal be constructed with a renewal of democracy and the human and social rights of its diverse citizens. We hope you can support our efforts in this regard by contacting us at our Braga (Beraka) office.

Gallaec People's Party (PTK) is full member of the Confederation of the Lusitanian Union (KOL), because Gallaec and Lusitanian peoples are brothers, and they both are fighting and striving for the regionalization in Portugal, and for the creation of autonomous Assemblies in both Gallecia and Lusitania.
